Greetings fellow freshwater person,
This website was made possible by funding received from Moreland City Council's Cultural Arts Grants 2006 and an enormous amount of volunteered time.
It is my hope that together freshwater.net.au can grow to provide a more complete picture of the freshwaters and environs of Melbourne and the people who make up its' community.
Perhaps you belong to a friends group, community organisation, school or local council. You may be a local resident, like myself. If you would like to get on our directory, or if you have stories or information related to our freshwater systems and you would like to contribute them to freshwater.net.au, I would be delighted to hear from you.
I am particularly keen to hear from:
:: members of Greater Melbourne's Indigenous Australian Community seeking a platform to share their history and culture
:: friends groups or relevant NGO's who have already researched a freshwater site and would like to post that information here at freshwater.net.au (Have a look at Edgars Creek on this website).
:: passionate indigenous flora folk who would be interested in helping to build a flora database on this site.
:: organisations interested in forming partnerships with freshwater.net.au to build information resources about Melbourne's freshwater systems & communities.
